BAYBAY BOULEVARD
Baybay Boulevard is one of the best surfing spots in Borongan. The 1.5 kilometers stretch coastline begins from the Loom River delta to Borongan River to the north. Activities like frisbee, volleyball, football, picnicking etc., can be done in this delightful place. This is also a perfect place to go if you are craving for barbecue dishes. Friends and families usually go here, grab a drink, eat delicious barbecue dishes and just have a good time. There are also vendors roaming around the area selling balot, chicharon and other pulutan. Along the baywalk is a playground that kids, as well as adults, can enjoy leisure activities.
How to get there:
Located east of the city, just a few minutes ride from downtown.

PANGI FALLS
Brgy. San Gabriel
One of the tallest falls in Borongan. This marvelous tourist spot can capture the hearts of adventure-junkies. The journey to the falls will involve a physically demanding 3-4 hour ascending hike and/or river trek in the San Gabriel mountains, but worth the very long nature trip once the magnificent 80 feet tall Pangi falls is in sight.
How to get there:
45 minutes ride from Borongan terminal to Barangay San Gabriel. From the barrio is a 3-4 hours hike or river trek to reach the site. The river trek is the best way home: the adventurer(s) can take dips in the rivers to relax from the tiring hike.

TALUBAGNAN CAVE
Sitio Catian, Brgy. Bato
A “must see” for visitors in Borongan. A 1.8-kilometer deep cave located at Sitio Cati-an, Brgy. Bato. The cave is considered a destination for extreme caving adventure. The cave entrance is a 40-minute hike away from the sitio, but time stands still once inside: where one gets to see, scrutinize, and marvel at the stalactites and stalagmites hanging and jutting from the ceilings and floors – marvels that took years to take form.
There are headgears and flashlights that can be rented by the visitors in a very affordable amount. Friendly and experienced cave guides can accompany the guests in this very exciting adventure.
How to get there:
From the city downtown, about 5 mi nutes ride to Sitio Cati-an, Brgy Bato. And from Cati-an, 40 minutes to 1 hour by foot to the site.

ANDO ISLAND
Brgy. Ando
Locally called as “Puro Halaba” – meaning large island. One of the two treasured island barangays of Borongan located 112 meters away from the city proper. Ando Island is truly blessed with enchanting caves, fascinating white sand beaches, splendid coral formations and marine life that abound in sparkling clear blue waters.
How to get there:
Motorized banca ride for about 30 minutes from Barangay Sabang South fish port. Fare rate is P20.00 per head.

MONO FALLS
Sitio Bagong Baryo, Brgy. Pinanag-an
A lovely waterfalls that the people of Sitio Bagong Baryo of Barangay Pinanag-an take pride. Located just a few minutes away from the barangay. Extreme adventurers may want to ride the rapids (in tubes or simply in their life vests and/or floaters) while traveling downstream from Bagong Baryo.
How to get there:
This trip includes a motorized banca ride along the Suribao River. There are several stops along the way to unload passengers and let the boatmen steer the banca upstream in the rapids easier sans the extra weight of the passengers. Passengers need to hike further upstream to deeper waters and wait for the boat. The journey may take 3 – 4 hours depending on the water levels (more rapids to battle and more treks to take when the water level is low).

GANAP CAVE
Brgy. Cagbonga
A pool inside the small cave with cooling fresh waters that offers a most refreshing dip to be enjoyed by the visitors. The cave is recommended for caving/spelunking for beginners. A 20 minutes ride from the city passing through rice fields via Maypangdan- Bayobay- Cagbonga road followed by a 5-10 minute hike to the site.
How to get there:
15 minutes ride from city downtown to barangay Maypangdan, then a 20-minute ride from Maypangdan to Barangay Cagbonga followed by 5 to 10-minute trek from the barangay proper to reach the site.

DIVINUBO ISLAND
Brgy. Divinubo
Divinubo Island locally called as “Puro Halipot” means small island. It is facing the pacific ocean, and is roughly a 3-square kilometer island. There are choices of beaches, sea and green lagoons to be enjoyed by the visitors. This island holds a promising reputation to be one of the finest ecotourism destinations in the province. The island offers creamy white sand and azure blue waters and delicious seafoods. A century-old lighthouse created by American engineers is located atop the mountain of Divinubo.
How to get there:
15 minutes ride from the city downtown to the wharf in Barangay Lalawigan. The island can be reached by a 30-minutes motorized banca ride to Divinubo Island. Extreme adventurers can try trekking through coral reefs when the tide is at its lowest.

HILANGAGAN BEACH
Brgy. Punta Maria
Located in the fishing village of Barangay Punta Maria, 20-30 minutes north of the City. It has a white sandy beach hidden in a cove surrounded by foliage. The locals have provided open cottages, a space for beach volleyball, and visitors are welcome to stay overnight. The place is perfect to unwind and escape from the bustle of the urban jungle.
How to get there:
One has to travel 20-30 minutes from the city proper to Barangay Punta Maria. It would take some effort the final stretch of which is only accessible by foot and motorbikes because of the narrow width of the path.

KALIPAYAN CAVE
Brgy. Calingatngan
A cave system that would attract caving enthusiast due to its beautiful sights of glittering stalactites and stalagmites and other rock formations.
How to get there:
10 minutes ride from the city proper to Barangay Calingatngan followed by an estimated 1 hour travel by foot to reach the site.

PAHUNGAW FALLS
Brgy. San Pablo
A four-drop waterfalls in the mountains of Barangay San Pablo in a breathtaking two-leg journey with refreshing greenery and cool mountain waters that provide nature lovers and adventurers a relaxing break from stress and city life.
How to get there:
20-30 minutes banca ride from Maypangadan wharf to the village for a fee of P20.00 followed by a 40 to 1 hour nature trek to the site.

MONBON ISLET
Brgy. Divinubo
Monbon Islet is situated northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar. Monbon is the greatest getaway when one needs to unwind and escape from the mainland bustle, good for swimming and relaxing. Just rent a motor boat at Sabang port and you will reach the islet for approximately 30 minutes. The whole place is just barely 1 square kilometers. The Marine Sanctuary is adjacent to this islet. This place is also one of the best places to catch a good sunrise and an unhampered view of a magnificent sunset.
How to get there:
One can reach the islet for approximately 30 minutes of motorized banca ride from barangay Sabang port.

LINAL-AN CAVE
Brgy. Can-abong
Chill waters await you inside this delightful cave located in Brgy. Can-abong. How deep this cave is still remains to be discovered; however, it has one of the coldest cave pools in allof the cave pools in Borongan. A storyteller prefers swimming alongside the canoe on the way home and having fun while playing in the rapids.
How to get there:
10 minutes ride from city downtown to Barangay Can-abong. Accessible by trekking (one hour 45 and minutes) or by banca (canoe – one hour and 15 minutes).

CABONG BEACH
Brgy. Cabong
Cabong black-sand beach is one of the favorite destinations of the locals including sea-bathers, excursionists, and picnic-goers especially during special occasions, weekends and holidays. Cabong beach offers a half-kilometer black sandy beach that visitors can take pleasure in. The cool waters and the fresh sea breeze makes it one of the best places to loosen up.
How to get there:
15-minute tricycle ride from the city proper.
