The City Government of Borongan shone brightly as it was conferred with two prestigious accolades at the 2023 Outstanding Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Stakeholders Awarding Ceremony held last September 22 at Summit Hotel, Tacloban City.
Among the Eastern Samar LGUs present at the event, Borongan was recognized as the PSA’s Most Outstanding Partner in Civil Registration. Ma. Luisa Azul III, the head of the City Civil Registry Office, was in attendance to receive the award.
Adding to this remarkable achievement, the City received the Outstanding Partner in Statistical Planning, Policy, and Coordination award. Jojito Acla, OIC – Head of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, accepted the plaque on behalf of City Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda.
The theme for this year’s PSA Stakeholders Awarding Ceremony was “Providing Quality Services Through Digital Transformation in Eastern Visayas.” The event aimed to show appreciation for the exemplary performance of the awardees as implementing partners of the agency’s programs.
