The Golden Sunrise Warriors arrived at the EVRAA 2024 not only with determined athletes but also with a team of campus journalists from The Courier and Ang Sinag of Eastern Samar National Comprehensive High School.
Brought by an invitation from the City Government of Borongan through the City Information Office led by Sir Rupert Ambil, these campus journalists found themselves at the forefront of this prestigious event for the first time. Their mission was to deliver accurate and up-to-date news coverage of the Golden Sunrise Warriors’ journey in Ormoc City from May 5 to 10.
As the athletes strive to bring victory and pride to their city, it is the campus journalists who ensure that every success is celebrated and shared with the public. They are the ones responsible for the latest updates, victory reports, and feature stories that shine a spotlight on the achievements of their fellow students.
“It feels both exciting and nerve-wracking to be chosen as one of the journalists for the EVRAA 2024 nga inupod para hit Borongan, especially since it’s the first time nga nahinabo,” said Ree Nichol Cerbo of The Courier.
