Borongan City proudly declares Filipino Professional Skateboarder, Margielyn Didal, as an adopted citizen of the City.
City Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda said in his message, “You have brought so much pride to our country and we are extremely proud of you for that. Now that you are a citizen of Borongan City, you are entitled to receive all benefits and programs of the City, including getting free medicine from the city pharmacy.”
Didal, with her iconic beaming smile, thanked the LGU Borongan for giving her a warm welcome and for giving her the chance to become an adopted citizen of Borongan City.
Margielyn Didal is a special guest of the 2021 Surf in the City and will be staying in Borongan until December 12.
The City of Borongan through the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Borongan headed by Vice Mayor Emman Tiu Sonco, has approved today, Resolution No. 54, “Declaring Margielyn Didal as an Adopted Citizen of the City of Borongan.”
The resolution reads among others, that Didal a renowned Filipino athlete has competed in international Skateboarding competition, brought home Gold medals and honor as well.
The 22-year old Cebuana Skateboarder, “captured the hearts of Filipinos and became an inspiration to young athletes; she exemplifies the essence of a Filipino Athlete and is a role model to all young individuals in championing the values of a true Filipino citizen,” the Resolution further reads.
