The City Government of Borongan has made official its counterpart as co-presenter and venue for the first stop of the Philippine Kiteboarding Tour through a Memorandum of Agreement signing between Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda and Jay Ortiz, president of the Philippine Kiteboarding Association.
This follows the Sangguniang Panlungsod’s green light over said partnership, agreed upon at their 45th regular session. Prior to the agreement, the city’s sports committee also convened for a meeting discussing important considerations pending the collaboration with committee head and SK Federation President Jimuel Adona, Information Officer and Tourism Office OIC Rupert Ambil, and Councilors Victor Franco and Frich Uy in attendance.
Now on its tenth season, the PKA Tour is set to make its first stop in Borongan City from November 29 to December 1. This marks the first time Borongan will be hosting kiteboarding enthusiasts from across the globe, opening the city to an international audience.
