The Borongan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office kick started the event with a motorcade and launching of the the National Disaster Resilience Month 2023 with the theme “BIDANG PILIPINO: Building a Strong Filipino Well-being towards Disaster Resilience”, Saturday, July 1.
The event was spearheaded by the CDRRMO Engr Jaime J. Voces and attended by all the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council members to show their expression of commitment and support to the activities and cause of the BCDRRMO to provide a more disaster resilient City of Borongan.
Present during the event are representatives coming from the office of the City Mayor in the person of Atty Celestino Cabato, Sangguniang Panglungsod Sir Abet Acampado, Office of the City Vice Mayor Sir Victor Franco Ohoy, Office of SPM Fritz Uy, Ma’am Maria Florlita Balato-Mocorro CLGOO, Deputy Brigade Commander of the 802nd Infantry Brigade Col Rico O. Amaro, Borongan COP PLT COL Dexter Astacaan, City Fire Marshall INSP Benito G. Elona, 78IB 2LT Ivy Joy Palatao, BJMP INSP Neal C. Ana and PCG ENS Rhian Kean Gasco.
