BARANGAY PULONG-PULONG ON BORONGAN CITY’S VACCINATION PROGRAM (BUGAS & CAN-AGA)

1. Borongan City Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan C. Agda, in the Barangay Pulong-Pulong in Barangay Bugas, speaks and encourages his audience to support the Vaccination Program of the City Government. He urged the more or less 100 folks from Barangays Can-aga and Bugas to be united and not be apprehensive of the vaccine which the CLGU has ordered for the Boronganons, because it has passed regulatory standards. Also, Mayor Agda urged the rural folks to help and support one another, so that everbody can eventually advance in life.

Dr. Bernadette Galacan of the City Health Office, shares information about the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine to some folks of Barangays Can-aga and Bugas, March 15, 2021. Dr. Galacan said, be it Sinovac or Astrazeneca or others, we both need them. She added that during the actual vaccination activity in Borongan City, there will be a separate site for people with hypertension, diabetes and other comorbidities, where they will be assessed and carefully monitored by medical doctors.

 

3. Dr. Raul Villanueva, in the Barangay Can-Aga & Bugas Pulong-Pulong, gives the overview of theBrgy-Pulong-Pulong-Dr proposed City Hospital. Foremost, he shared one major reason why the Borongan City Government, through Mayor JIDCA is bent to set up this primary health care facility. According to Doc. Raul, it has been reported that the two hospitals in town, in the recent three years or so, has exceeded their “Bed Occupancy Rate”, thus the need to set-up an alternative health care facility that will cater to other minor health services.

4. Mr. Sherwin Aquino of PhilHealth, explains to some rural folks of Barangay Bugas and Can-aga why it is important to be a PhilHealth member. He thus urged them, in today’s Pulong-Pulong to register through the RHU because PhilHealth will answer their yearly consultation under the e-Konsulta Program of PhilHealth.


5. During the Open Forum, and on other matters, Bugas Punong Barangay Sheng Encinas, raised an inquiry, in behalf of his barangay constituents, the matter on the Water Facility which according to him, has been published, that will be available last December 2020 yet.

But Mayor Agda was quick to answer: “Kun makaka bisita la kamo ha Barangay Tabunan, makita kamo hit tubig tikang na han at kinuhaan ha Sitio Capinian, nga nagsa-sawak-sawak na, kay haros mapanas na ngani it aada nga harani nga hagna.

Pagdugtong nala hit, pero it kinahanglan nga T-Pipe, aadto pinapalit na ha Cebu, hasta chlorinator, kay maupay la malinisan ta it at tubig. Nag-agree naman an Borongan Water District nga kita it ma-supply hit ira mga tubo hin tubig.”

In conclusion, Mayor Agda said, he is trying hard enough to effect the supply of water to all northern barangays before the onset of dry season. He also added, he is even working it out for Barangay Can-aga folks to access this life’s basic commodity, for which, the Can-aga folks gave Mayor Agda a resounding applause.
