Mayor Agda vows to extend financial assistance and free health services to Dengue patients

At the onset of the dengue outbreak in the Province of Eastern Samar where 130 new cases of suspected dengue were reported over the past three weeks, 59 of which accounted for the City of Borongan, Mayor Dayan Agda quickly calls for an emergency meeting with the Local Health Board to set a “high sense of urgency” about the action to be taken by the City Government to prevent the further increase of suspected dengue cases.

Mayor Agda wants an urgent need to adopt quick response measures and reiterates his commitment to extend financial assistance and free health services to all patients of dengue fever.

In an interview conducted by ESTE News regarding the matter, Mayor Agda said, “Iton siyudad andam bumulig pinansyal including their hospitalization. Importante waray kinabuhi nga mawawara dara hiton nga dengue.. (kay) masuol ko it. Dapat wara sugad mahinabo ha aton siyudad.”

Mayor Agda further reiterates that we should be more disciplined when it comes to the cleanliness of our surroundings so that we can avoid this dreaded dengue disease.
