4.5KM UPPER SAN ANDRES ROAD NETWORK ENSURED COMPLETED, EYED TO BOOST AGRI-CROP PRODUCTION

The “Red Rainfall Warning” today did not deter the City LGU’s Inspection Team who examined the work progress of the road project in inner barangays Surok, San Andres Upper and San Mateo.

Mel Caspe who was with the team posted on social media that City Mayor Dayan Agda, who led the Inspection Team expressed his strong interest that the contractor of the project completes the road soonest, because it is expected to increase Agricultural crop production.

About 83% of the road project is now passable however, or a 3.7km already of the 4.5 is finished.
To recall, it was pronounced earlier by Mayor Agda that crop production as a main component of “Dukwag Agrikultura” is a flop, that the road network in these inner barangays could largely help or inspire farmers to engage more in various crop cultivation.
Specifically, Upper San Andres has been noted to be producing volumes of Ginger, that it is eyed to be declared “Ginger Capital“ of Borongan, Caspe’s post added. | Alicia Nicart
